Course Aim
At the successful
completion of this course, participants will receive a nationally
recognised qualification designed to reflect the role of contract
bookkeepers and employees performing in the role of bookkeeper for
organisations. This course will develop skills in the area of
establishing and maintaining accounting systems, assisting with BAS and
other office taxes, payroll and developing management systems for
organisations.
Entry Requirements
There
are no formal entry requirements for this course, however, literacy and
numeracy skills to a Year 10 level is required.

Delivery Available
Methods of delivery for this course include Workplace delivery as well
as Distance Education (study from home). Or if you are already
working in the industry as a Bookkeeper, you may qualify for our RPL
process for this qualification.

Classroom
Schedule (Term 2, 2010)
This course runs two days
per week, 9.30 am to 2.30 pm, for 20 weeks. Evening classes are
also available two evenings per week, 6.00 pm to 9.30 pm, for 26 weeks. We try to stick to NSW
school terms wherever possible and will break over the holidays.

Course Fees (Classroom only)
This
qualification costs $1,950 per person and includes all training materials
as well as a Student Edition of MYOB. Course fees are payable in
full upon enrolment, or, alternatively, a direct debit plan from your nominated bank
account or credit card is available from Vital Training Solutions upon
request (however an initial deposit of $500 is payable upon enrolment to cover costs of
training materials).

Further Study
Successful completion of this qualification will enable you to receive
Credit Transfers in the Certificate IV in Financial Services
(Accounting) as well as the Diploma or Advanced Diploma of Accounting.
Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL) / Credit Transfers
Recognition and / or Credit for one or more units may be granted based
on previous learning, studies, work and / or life experiences.
