FNS40207 Cert IV in Financial Services (Bookkeeping)
If you are already working as a Bookkeeper in the industry you may qualify to take part on our RPL process for the Certificate IV in Financial Services (Bookkeeping) and have your current skills, knowledge and experience formally recognised. Strict guidelines apply to the RPL process and you will need to provide evidence of your skills and knowledge. Examples of evidence may include:
-
portfolio of work samples
-
third party reports (from current or previous employers / supervisors)
-
letters of employment / references from current or previous employers / supervisors
-
detailed resume or work history including position descriptions
-
copies of certificates / statements of attainment from previous studies
In some cases, you may not have documentary evidence to support some of your RPL application. Please do not let this deter you from applying as our Assessors will work with you during this process.
In addition to providing documentary evidence to support your RPL application, there are a number of other ways to assess your competence, including:
Meeting / Telephone Conversation with our Assessor
After our Assessors have reviewed the documentary evidence you have supplied, in order to match your skills to the units within this qualification, we will then discuss your application together which provides you with the opportunity to talk about your skills and experience in more detail and gives our Assessors the opportunity to further match your skills and experience with the units in this qualification.
Practical Demonstration of your Skills
Even the best documentary evidence or verbal explanations may still not be appropriate "evidence" that you are competent in a certain area. At this time, you will be given the opportunity for an Assessor to conduct an assessment at your workplace (or in our fully equipped classroom) in order to give you the opportunity to demonstrate your level of competence.
Assessment of your Competence
If gaps are identified during the above processes, you may opt to undertake an Assessment Task offered by Vital Training Solutions to demonstrate your competence. Assessment Tasks may include Practical Assessments, Questions & Answers, Role Plays, etc.
Assessment Only Pathway
An alternative to the above mentioned options is to undertake an Assessment Only pathway, which means you do not supply any evidence other than completing the Assessment Tasks designed by Vital Training Solutions for each of the units within the qualification. Assessment Tasks may include Practical Tasks, Questions & Answers, Role Plays, etc.
What Happens if I am "Not Yet Competent"?
If you are found to be Not Yet Competent in one more more areas, you will be given the opportunity to study those areas and complete appropriate assessment tasks when you feel confident. We can provide you with the appropriate resources including training manuals, support, etc.
Are You Up to Date with Legislation, Codes of Practice, OHS?
How are your Customer Service Skills?
